Not been following this site recently but I've just noticed two European designs for 2.5" gauge at 1:22.5 (LGB 'G' scale) - very nearly G3 at 1:22.6 - so just in case someone is interested....

The links are for a TEE (Trans Europ Express) and also a design for a Blue (Dutch) Tram (which in real life ran both in standard and metre gauge). The plans for both are downloadable as PDFs and are free. No drive/motor arrangements are suggested unfortunately...

However, the tram has a pantograph that might be a useful starting point for anyone contemplating building something similar...

Never mind the pantograph - check out that set of drawings for the RAm TEE I

They were drawn in 2012 It would be very interesting to know if the model was actually built and how.

Well I have copied the plans to my HD. If I were to build it I would have to name it "Florian" -because I am "Ralph".

(Yes I do have both of those records!)
