Evening All
Just a quick question, whose platform facing do you all use and what have you all made your platform in fill out of please.
Thanks
keith
I use bathroom tiles. I don't have a photo handy of a platform but have attached a photo of one of my signal boxes showing the base it sits on. I bought some Italian bathroom tiles (can't remember the brand name) which are made up of tiny rectangular pieces of stone attached to a net backing. Really easy to work with and look great.

I use either pre-moulded brick Plastikard, which is sponge-painted in exterior grade brick colour or
you could (if you have the time and patience) use either 1/12th or 1/24th scale bricks or brick slips (which are thinner) available from Minaco

Alternatively Cain Howley Structures make some lovely pre-moulded straight and curved concrete plaform sections. They are available painted or unpainted from £25.00 per length and you can join as may as you want together. CHS will deliver to your door and their prices for this are very reasonable.

On his website you will see some of my pictures of his items including station buildings, water towers, lineside huts and even complete viaducts as I have been reviewing them over the years for Garden Rail Magazine.
Hope the above helps.

I have just realised I have previously posted a picture of the platform and lineside hut in the gallery. If you go there you will see it about three lines down under new images - that might give you a better idea if these sections are suitable.
