Title: Blackgang Modules
Post by: AllWight on May 10 2011 22:39
At this moment in time the progress on the extension modules is taking shape rather rapidly with Keith Smith working on his brewery module (I suspect he likes a pint or two), Tony Holland with a shunting puzzle and a smal request halt and when I get round to it a curved section which will be built by me and will incorporate a viaduct. I never like to make things easy for myself which will come as no surprise to those who know me. Additionally a short scenic section is being proposed by Roger Salisbury which will add to the already growing layout. For those who would like to see the Blackgang layout it will be exhibited at a local show to me at Four Marks on 21st & 22nd May at the village hall. It will also be exhibited with the brewery section at the Moors Valley Railway Gala on 11th 12th June and we will be in the carraige shed. The Moors Valley Country Park is located off of Horton Road in Ringwood, Dorset. For those of you who have never been to the Moors Valley Railway it is a cheap day out with only the car parking and the train ride being the primary cost otherwise you can wander around and enjoy the variety of model engineering items on display as well as miniature traction engines plus a model railway display. For the golf nuts amongst you they even have an 18 hole golf course right next to the railway what more could you ask for?
And yes I am a volunteer down at the MVR I drive the 7 1/4 gauge engines and try not to break them too often.

Cheers Mark
