Well - for a change this engine actually has a current boiler certificate (till Nov 2011) and also seems to have been given a new boiler as part of the renovation by a "professional model engineering company"

The auction has still got a day to run but I would think it could be reasonable value at the current price (1,699 - with no bids so far). Sight unseen - I'd want to ask who had done the renovation and who issued the boiler certificate - but if this engine has been worked on by someone like John Shaw or Mike Pavie then it could be a good buy.

I've certainly seen engines that seem in worse condition than this one come up on e-Bay and for more money too.

Regards,

IanT

no bids, so may come on at lower price
