Title: Magnets and Batteries
Post by: Jon Nazareth on Feb 07 2015 16:38
Good afternoon all

I intend to have the battery pack for my RC Manning Wardle located in a wagon (one of Mike's Tar Tanks) behind the engine.  This wagon will have a lid (resin tar tank) and I was hoping to keep this lid in place with magnets.  Is it okay to have magnets close to batteries?

Regards
Jon

There are no problems with having batteries next to magnets.

My technique for roof tops etc is to have a steel crossmember on the body of the vehicle & position a button magnet to secure the roof. Works well for brake vans should work equally well for tar wagons also.
