Ruston DS48

Currently under development is a Ruston DS48 shunter, it is a collaborative effort with an existing G3 supplier and, having recently reviewed a 3D printed version, will be more detailed and dimensionally accurate; working from both original Lister drawings and recent full-sized restoration projects. Trying to gauge the interest in an 'easily built introduction to G3' loco kit?

Wasn't 'this' produced in kit form by Richard Thompson - some time ago?

Genuine question, I do know that some unbuild kits come to the surface periodically.

Yes, I did produce a Ruston 48DS a few years ago, etched N/S compensated chassis, etched brass bodywork, all castings mastered by me, suitable for R/C. Slaters do the correct wheels or Walsall would machine steel ones as an alternative.

Originally I sold the kits for £140, you needed a set of wheels ( Slaters currently £80 for 2 axles ) and a motor/gearbox - £40 - £80. The kit would be a bit more expensive these days. Strangely I sold more kits to non G3 enthusiasts - maybe to sit on the mantlepiece ?

Protoypical chain drive to both axles, plus full cab interior controls, sprung steel buffers.
