John Candy

For those who were unfortunately unable to be at the AGM/exhibition yesterday, attached are a few pictures of two completed "3D Print 4 Yourself" carriages, which were on display together with other items from the range.

They attracted a considerable amount of interest, with many asking if they were available to purchase, either completed or as kits.

I do not make models to sell but if any kit supplier wishes to make use of the STL files on a commercial basis, a licence is available in return for an agreed percentage donation to Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (the Cambridge University research and teaching hospital).

My fellow Members, ask not what your Society can do for you, ask what you can do for your Society.

Having seen these two in the flesh, so to speak, I agree that the detail is superb. Congratulations John for supporting G3 by producing what is now a wide range of prototypes, making the files freely available to members, and also for your generous offer concerning commercialisation.

I was very impressed by your sample 'sides' John. as well as the completed carriages that you had on display at the AGM yesterday.

Great quality prints, that had a very substantial 'heft' too (as G3 should). This has clearly involved a great deal of work by you but it has resulted in a very substantial resource for G3 modellers.

Very well done and thank you!

Nothing's ever Easy - At least the first time around.

Hi John,

They look phenomenal as usual.

I was unfortunately unable to make the AGM however I would be very interested in providing the range in kit form and and pre-finished under my "New Land 3D" business.

I have dropped you a personal message too.

I have everything ready and set up so they can be made available relatively quickly.

Thank you.
Ant
