Taken from the description:

"As soon as purchased, I sent the loco to the renowned Gauge 3 model engineer, Mike Pavie. Mike totally stripped the engine down to every last component, serviced, re-assembled to his exacting standards and performed a test run. He tested the boiler with a hydraulic test and awarded a SOUTHERN FEDERATION certificate - EXPIRES 23/10/13

Mike reported that the engine was very well built and that engineering creation, screw sizes etc., all indicated pre-war example. All fitted together beautifully and with no damage, bodges or deterioration through age. The boiler was still mint and all was exceptionally well built. Mike reported that every componant was very well done, EVEN THE BITS ONE CANNOT SEE."

"I would like to add that the boiler is stamped and professionally tested and that ( as detailed in the text) it does hold a current Southern Fed Hydraulic test certificate. I would also like to add that i am happy to welcome serious inspections or visitors ( please no time wasters), please message me if you would like this? I am in DORSET. I will now leave this auction alone and stop thinking of further things to say! I have never sold before and its a learning curve!!!"
