I am considering asking Worsley Works to produce a couple of horse box designs in etched brass.
To avoid carriage-style panelling (which I understand would be unsatisfactory on a single sheet etch in G3 due to limitations of the etching process) I am looking at two possible prototypes.

1) GNR diagram 352
2) GWR N13
(photos/details of each can be found in Historic Carriage Drawings Vol.3)

Anyone else interested .... any comments/advice.....anyone have any experience of Worsley Works products (in any scale)?

I'll take a GNR if they decide to do one John.
Nothing's ever Easy - At least the first time around.

Maybe a GNR, but will it be a complete kit, or etchings only?

You could always use two layers of brass to get the thickness.

Quoted from their website :

Worsley Works specialise in producing the etched parts of model railway kits. We use the term 'Scratch Aid' to help denote that they are not complete kits as we do not include any castings, wire, glazing etc. and no instructions are provided. They 'are' however designed to fit accurately together and are straightforward to build.

I would have to produce the additional parts for my own construction so I suppose I could do a short run of castings for an extra few kits and write the instructions as I build.

I may ask whether they would be prepared to do a 'double-layer' etch to cater for panelling: I would rather like a GER diagram 28 horsebox and the LSWR 21ft type has a certain appeal.

John.
