Vintage LNER carriage models

These may not be to everyone's taste (including me) and at that price I suspect will be available for a long time, but they are great survivors, apparently from the 1930s.  Anyone know any history about them?

Certainly not "finescale"!!!!

Seems to be a "general trader" and, in true "Dell boy" fashion, probably bought them for "a song"!
Anyone paying half that price needs their brain testing.

They look fine for what they are, carriages probably built for someone's garden railway and at a time when the expression "fine scale" was rarely heard. They do have a value if only for their age but they also look in fairly good condition too (been in a box in an attic somewhere possibly)

As for the price - the Seller may get lucky (there are all sorts of collectors out there) or possibly just hopes for a good offer and this is his starting point in any negotiation. It costs him very little to try. However, we know there are nicer models around for the money and patience in these things is often rewarded.
