FOR  SALE  IS  A  GAUGE  3  OR   2. 1/2"  GAUGE   460  STEAM  LOCOMOTIVE,  THIS  WAS  ONE  OF   MY  FATHERS    ENGINE  WHO  HAS  OWNED  IT  FOR    YEARS    AND   I    ONLY  KNOW    WHAT  HE TOLD  ME,  HE  SAID  IT  WAS  SUPPOSED  TO  BE    A   LATE  1920s  1930s    BASSET  LOWKE   ENGINE   BY  HENRY  GREENLY    GAUGE  3,   HE  SAID  HE  THOUGHT  IT   WAS  QUITE  RARE  AND  MENTIOND  SOMETHING  ABOUT  CARSONS,  I  AM  SORRY  TO  BE  VAUGE  BUT  SADLY  HE  IS   NOT  HERE  TO  ASK  ANYMORE,   THE   APROX   SIZES   ARE   31"  LONG  X   5 1/4"   WIDE  X   7 1/2"  HIGH    FROM    WHAT  I  CAN  SEE  IT  SEEMS  TO BE  COMPLETE  BUT  WILL  NEED    SOME  TLC   BUT  I   AM  NO  EXPERT ,  MY  FATHER  SAID  IT  WAS  POWERED  BY  PRESURISED  KEROSINE   AND  IT  IS  A  COPPER  BOILER,  WITH  VARIOUS  FITTINGS  THE  WORKMANSHIP  IS  SUPERB  AND  LOOKS  VERY  MUCH  A   COMERCIAL   BUILD,  PLEASE  NOTE  THIS  IS  A  VERY  OLD  ENGINE   SO    STUDY  THE   PHOTOS  BEFORE  YOU  BUY   AS  I  WILL NOT  ACCEPT  RETURNS  SIMPLY  BECAUSE  OF  THE  SIZE  AND  WEIGHT,    I  AM  STARTING  THE    BIDDING   OFF   AT    £700.00    WITH    NO    RESERVE     SO  AS  TO  STOP  ANY  TIME  WASTERS,    ANY  QUESTIONS  OR  IF  YOU  WOULD  LIKE  TO  VIEW  AT  MY  HOME  PLEASE  RING  01942 492901.   MANY   THANKS...

What looks to be exactly the same loco (look at the paint chip pattern on the LHS cab side by the number) also appears on another site with quite a different story to it!!
