The great global bridge building company of Gnome Miniature Engineering is sad to announce that after ten years, operations will wind down over the next month or so. It has been a lot of fun and even made a very small amount of money! However, and let this be warning to all, forming all the ribs and so on, and hand setting many thousands of rivets, is not good for the hands, and RSI is the consequence. But it has been an interesting experience, with the bridges sent all round the world, from British Columbia to Tasmania to Istanbul, and places in between.

I won't be building any more, but if anyone would like outline drawings for their own use, or information about the bridges, I'll be happy to help if I can.

Very sorry to hear this Andrew.  Don't have one of your bridges myself but have seen them and this will be a big loss.

Andrew,
Sorry to hear that RSI has curbed your activities and hope it will improve before too long.
Regarding the offer to provide information, etc. to assist members with bridge building, would you be willing to provide a written article or drawings for the Gauge 3 Wiki www.gauge3.info ?
Regards,
John.

Thank you for the suggestion - I'll get something together as soon as I can. Am a bit snowed under with other things at the moment (including finishing positively the last order, and then a couple of weeks back in Scotland)  but will enjoy doing that.

Thank you Andrew, members will appreciate you sharing your expertise.

Enjoy your break in Scotland.

Regards,
John.
