GWR Prairie AND two B set carriages on e-bay

Just for the record, they sold for £1,695.

ebay is a fickle thing. not sure that as it sold for that figure it is worth that figure

If the quality is "standard" for the type, the buyer is likely to need a lot of solder and flux, a 100W iron .... and don't forget the fire extinguisher and replacement motor!

Having said that, the 45XX I have just refurbished for Mark Thatcher hasn't turned out too badly. It must have previously had its pyrotechnic moment since it has been fitted with a standard GRS motor and gearbox at some stage.

Since it cost him 600GBP plus the cost of the radio control/sound card/batteries, paint, etc. I think he has a bargain.....he is delighted and that's all that matters.
