Experiencing Login Problems?
« on: Sep 18 2020 08:10 »
Following the problems which caused the forum to be "down" yesterday, many registered members may find they have difficulty with the login process.....an error message will appear.
This is not a fault with the forum but relates to the cookie and other cached data stored in your web browser.
To resolve the issue, you need to remove the old cookie data.
There are many different browsers but all have similar processes although the "pathway" tagging may be different.
The method for Mozilla Firefox is given below :

Go to Menu (the three horizontal bars top right of screen) > Options > Privacy&Security > Cookies&SiteData > ClearData (select both Cookies and Data)

Hope this helps,

Using Chrome and still having login issues?
Following the repair work to the forum, login was causing some members problems.
Most were easily solved but Google Chrome appears to have been more problematic than other browsers.
Some had no issues with it but for others the problem persisted.
If you are still having problems with Chrome, do the following .... it will not delete your stored passwords but should resolve the issue with the forum.

GOTO > Menu (3 vertical dots top right of screen) > Settings > Advanced > Reset and clean up > Restore settings to their original defaults

This will remove the settings preventing you from logging on to the forum.
