0-6-0 sold for £500 , i doubt they'll get the price on the prairie !

I was in two minds about bidding for the 1F 0-6-0T. I already have one I built myself, so it would have been unsatisfactory without a complete rebuild to my standards. I did consider whether the chassis would provide the basic parts for a 3F tender loco but decided against it as not being "cost-effective" ... ignoring the fact that I won't have the time to build a 3F in the foreseeable future.

The 45XX Prairie tank (from a different vendor) would be expensive at half that price.... knowing what we do about that model's shortcomings!
