Railway in Wood

I found this earlier and thought it might interest some members of this forum.

Essentially this guy has built his entire railway (tracks, engines, cariages etc) in wood. Look for the photo of him standing by the 'bridge' to realise how large his layouts are. It all started when he purchased a plastic toy train for his son...and is the reason for his choice of scale and gauge.

It's all to 1/25th - which is just a little smaller than G3 (at 12.19mm) but it still looks pretty impressive. There is also a nice photo of him sanding one of his carriages that I think will appeal to Cliff D!  :)

This guy is one of many really interesting craftsmen on this "Internet Craftsmen Museum" site by the way.

There is some lovely stuff here - but also of use to G3 modellers is the piece on the 1/24th model town that I think will interest anyone building G3 exhibition layouts or modular units.
