I've just taken delivery an ex. LNER J39 loco from Richard Toplis which is the first of a very limited batch he is building.
The model should not be confused with an earlier plastic-bodied prototype J39.
The present model is built of brass, is battery electric-powered and includes dummy valve gear driven from the
middle axle.
I am delighted with this model which hopefully should be on show at Biggleswade next month, prior to real field trials in the coming season.
