Title: PrintHaus – configurable buildings for 3D printing
Post by: John Candy on Nov 04 2026 13:23
My attention was recently drawn to an interesting site https://printhaus.app/en/, offering a novel method of designing buildings for model railways which can then be downloaded and 3D printed.
While many of the models are of continental European influence, there is an English manor house which "looks the part" and the site's owner (Sebastian) is prepared to consider other British designs, as you will see from his message below.

Hello Gauge 3 modellers,

I have been developing PrintHaus, a browser app for designing buildings for model railway layouts. You can choose the dimensions, scale, roof, windows, doors and facade details, then export the model for 3D printing. The geometry is generated deterministically from these settings.

The printed examples on the website are a half-timbered house, an English manor house, a defensive tower and a factory hall. Those examples were printed in H0; you can choose a different scale for your own design in the app.

Free registration includes one export for personal use. For Gauge 3 Forum readers, the code PH-G3-6WYT adds two additional personal-use download credits. Enter it in the account settings and redeem it by the end of 17 November 2026, Central European Time.

This introductory forum offer can be redeemed once per account across the participating forums; the added credits do not expire.

If you would like to suggest a British building, please send a photo or reference image and I will try to recreate it.

Best wishes,
Sebastian / PrintHaus
