I've just been sent this link

http://player.bfi.org.uk/film/watch-great-north-of-scotland-railway-films-1963/

it shows steam, and early diesel, including a Park Royal railbus in Scotland. My contact says the fish trains are of particular interest.

Great film. Especially enjoyed Spey Valley. :)

Pity that very few of the locations can be identified but (in the last few minutes of film) there is colour footage of the Royal Train still in LMS livery (hauled by locos in early BR livery with the full "British Railways" branding), followed by LNER colour footage which includes a pair of "Tourist" stock carriages in the distinctive cream and green livery.

John.
My fellow Members, ask not what your Society can do for you, ask what you can do for your Society.
