Great news for truck lovers. Emhar have introduced 2 versions in 1/24 scale injected moulded kits of the Bedford O-Type truck. This is an injection moulded kit with over 250 parts including rubber tyres and is available as a LWB Dropside Truck (British Railways) version and as a high body SWB Tipper. Cost is around £30.99 per kit. For pix click here: http://www.moduni.de/product_info.php/ma....ucts_id/6042401

Just a quick note I have built the dropside lorry, went together quite well, looks good! Got a second one to build into a flat bed coal lorry.

Photos and notes to the Editor please Mr Driver!

(Sorry - you virtually volunteered yourself!)    :D

There is a nice 'work-in-progress' gallery showing a tipper being built here

Good link Andy - this young man knows what he's doing - and that toolbox at the end was a really nice touch. He obviously has more patience than me though. Clearly a very good kit that needs some time and not a little skill to get the best rom it - but what a lovely finished model.

I was wandering around Alton (Hampshire) recently - and popped into the Alton Model shop.

They had the EMHAR kits in the window (both of them) and on enquiring I was quoted 32 pounds each - which is the best price I've seen (most places seem to charge 39 generally). So if you would like one - and live fairly locally - it's not a bad place to look.

My fellow Members, ask not what your Society can do for you, ask what you can do for your Society.

Well spotted John - I just checked and UK postage is 3.45 for all orders - so total cost is 32.25 - removing the need to drive to Alton!   :)
