Some of you may have experienced problems with accessing the forum over past few days .... I was "locked out" and had to intervene at server level to sort out the issue which was filling up the systems error log.

An update to the software had "self-installed" but contained a bug which has affected many users of the SMF software and requires a temporary "fix", until another update is issued to deal with the problem.

I have implemented a "fix" which appears to have cleared the problem but if you do experience any strange errors, please email admin@g3forum.org.uk with the details.

A strange thing is, some members were still able to access the forum while I was locked out and was even unable to read messages as a"guest"... just got an error code thrown back!

Another mystery of cyberspace!
