A bit short notice, but C&T Auctioneers have some nice Gauge 3 vintage models in their auction on 7th October:
Lot 10 Bassett Lowke Flying Scotsman in what looks like mint condition. £2500 - £3500
Lot 3 Carette NER 4-4-0 inside cylinder £2000 - £3000
Lot 2 Carette NER 4-4-0 outside cylinder £2500 - £4000
Lot 1 Bing LNWR Black Prince 4-4-0 £4000 - £6000
Lot  Three Bing tinplate wagons £200 - £300
These are definitely vintage rather than models to run and use, but fascinating.

Well, for the record every Gauge 3 locomotive sold below estimate:

Lot 1 was unsold
Lot 2 sold for £2,200
Lot 3 sold for £1,500
Lot 10 sold for £2,200

BUT,

Lot 4 was the three Bing vintage wagons (sorry I omitted the lot number in my posting above) and if the auctioneer's website is correct, they sold for ... wait for it ....  £1,850.

Wow.
