I don't have time just now to list the individual items at this sale, but there are locos, wagons and even a nice carriage being sold by these people near Stafford on 13th September.  The auctioneers clearly have no idea what they are, nor what they are worth.

This should go straight to the catalogue:

and search for "large scale".

If the dimensions are to be believed they're more like 5" gauge.

A wagon 9in (200mm) long sounds G3ish?

John Candy

I took a quick look and most items seem to be larger than G3.
There is a Bowande (as sold by Kingscale) Mk1 in BR(W) Choc/cream which can be seen from box markings to be G3 and an LMS "Coronation"that looks as though it may be by Kingscale.
Both are at very low estimates.

The only wagon I could see that could be G3 is a GWR "Loriot" (Lowmac) at 300mm length.
The wagon ("Moody" coal) which is given as 200mm length, appears it could have had its dimensions transposed, since height is given as 48cm.

My fellow Members, ask not what your Society can do for you, ask what you can do for your Society.

Had more time to look now and you are quite right.

The "Kingscale" coach is Gauge 3 and estimated at £60-100.

Lot 618 The streamlined Coronation I think must also be Kingscale Gauge 3 "A Superb Large Scale "Duchess of Devonshire" Coronation Class Live Steam Locomotive. This engine is in the crimson livery of LMS Railway Company. Professionally constructed and believed to be fitted with a gas fired silver soldered, multi-flue, copper boiler. VGC Appears to to have been fired. Length 39 inches Height 19cm. Sold as a Collectors Item only No Boiler Certificate available. £1000 – 2000".

Lot 616 is described thus "Railway Large Scale Great Western Railway Flat Rolling Stock. A good quality Exhibition Standard wood and metal example painted in grey livery and GWR Plates. Depicted transporting a Land Rover Defender. Height 24cm Length 31cm £150-200".  Being wood and metal I am inclined to agree with Barry that this too could be larger scale, in spite of the dimensions.
