      The committee are pleased to announce that our 2nd edition of the "Welcome to G3" booklet has been printed and will be available shortly. This publication is a fresh higher quality A4 booklet, aimed at a wider market and hoping to draw further interest, awareness and new members to gauge 3.
All current members will receive a free copy of the booklet through the post; this is a gift to you, celebrating 30+ years of gauge 3. We also intend to advertise this booklet via railway modelling and engineering magazines, with a planned price of £7.50 Inc postage and £5.00 in person at shows. (You may also want to buy a copy for your friends!)
Many thanks to; all who contributed articles, the traders for the adverts, Ted for his work bringing my original work up to this level and Thistle Print for their help and work in production.

Just received my copy this morning Ash.

At £7.50 (inc postage) I think that's tremendous value for an 80 page, full colour, A4 book.

Personally, I wouldn't describe it as a  "booklet" - it's as just good as other softcover 'books' I have purchased on/about Garden Railways - and a good deal less money too. Very good value.

Well done publishing team.

What a nice surprise to come home to from a day out, As Ian said it's hardly a leaflet type of thing and what a fine publication, as good if not better than the Gauge 1 books ! All those that had a part to play with it deserve congratulations.

What a surprise to receive the G3 booklet a very comprehensive guide to getting involved with G3, well done to all the contributors. Let's hope in will encourage more members. One reason I was hooked by G3 is the shier size of the locos and stock, and when I show people who have not seen G3 before they express the same feeling. How you get this experience across in print is a problem, photographs just don't seem to do it justice, anyone got some thoughts.

G3 is very tactile. 

When I manned the G3S stand, I used to give visitors a wagon to examine - they had to take it with both hands of course. I don't recall anyone not looking (at first) surprised and then impressed....
