My fellow Members, ask not what your Society can do for you, ask what you can do for your Society.

not a bad price particularly if someone needs a rake of wagons for a garden railway.

Indeed so Mark.

The bodies of these troublesome trucks are really very good, though the G3 conversion sounds a bit basic.

And the vendor has already sold the "face" removed from the end, and the couplings, on e-bay!

I see the starting bid price has jumped from 89 to 95 since yesterday!
The "Buy It Now" has also gone up from 120 to 140.

These wagons cost £35.00 each normally. If you say approximately £5.00 per wagon for ancillary bits and pieces plus the time and effort in doing the conversion, then the buy it now price is fair at the first price but too much at the later price. I would say buyer beware of spending over the odds with these items.

Hello All

To me it depends how far you want to go with them . If you just want something to toe round the garden they may be O.K. They may not stand close scrutiny on an indoor layout though . Got one on the go of my own but would not do anothere .

I agree that the cost factor is important and if you wanted a rake of wagons for the garden railway and cheap then this is the way to go. The wagons/coaches are well made and could be quite robust especially with alive steamer at the head of a rake of say 20 of these wagons.

Just checked, somebody has bought them.
