This was sold by auction at Tenants in Leyburn N Yorks back in the spring for approx £1,000.

Vendor describes as "rare and historic", for which my interpretation is "thank God it's the only one - who would want another!"

It's a mongrel and looks like a cross between an LNER D49 (Shire/Hunt) and LMS "Jubilee"!

It doesn't say it is coal fired, in which case it might have appeal as a freelance passenger hauler, and if it is spirit-fired passenger-hauling is ruled out.
