Thought folks may like to see my version of the LSWR open 'wooden wagon' supplied as a kit from Mike Williams.
I've tried to represent an earlier version with 5 link couplings, safety chains and wooden brake.  I've put it aside now until the warmer weather comes and I will be able to paint her.

Very nice Jon (and good photos) - thanks for posting.

Very nice. Did any survive into BR service?

Jon Nazareth

Sorry, don't know anything about survival rates but Mike Williams would know, I think  :)

Regret I don't know a great deal about the LSWR, but the OPC book on the subject suggests they did, but not by much.  Two of those illustrated in the book lasted until 1946 and 1948.

I should have added - very nice indeed Jon.

It amazes me how you have built up quite a stock of interesting and varied vehicles in the time it takes me to assemble a couple of straight kits!  You are a great ambassador for our scale.

Does anyone have one of these still unbuilt, under the bench, in the back of the cupboard, in the 'stash' of kits that might get built 'one day'........?

As Williams Models are unlikely (more like, no chance) to reissue this kit, I'm looking for one that falls into the above 'pending' category....

Can anyone help?

Yes, I know, I need to be quicker off the mark......

Bests, stay safe
