a fair price if it works correctly. not sure how long the weathering would stay intact when the hot oil and water is ejected from the chimney. if you were very careful and always put a cloth over with a "chimney" hole every time you raised steam, or after pausing for a while, it may keep it's looks. very bonny little engine is the 14xx .

I have a 14xx and I admit that I adore it. But I have never seen the point of "weathering" other than a staement of fashion... A clean engine was more reliable than one covered in grit and grime.
