due to unforseen expenses (roof re- tiling!) i'm going to have to part with a Pavie loco, i have 2 available, both 2 cylinder coal fired pacifics. one is merchant navy "orient line" and the britannia is "anzac" they have both been test run on a rolling road and on a layout and both ran very well. they are as new as you can expect from being stored and represent the finest quality model engineering/live steam in gauge 3. if you bought these loco's back in the day (mid 90's) you'd have a 6 year waiting list and a cost of £10,000.00 not including the paint job, done by les richards (passed) . both loco's have had blanking test plugs made and the brit has had slight mod to water connection at tender to ease running. the cost of these are £8400.00 per loco . when you consider that some later kingscale models are r.r.p close to £7000.00 to obtain one of these at this price represents very good value, but also a price that is more akin to a usable item, rather than a shelf queen. photo's via email upon request (as this site won't allow my size of photo's)  tel 07544 686 670 or email a.wattam@btinternet.com

plus the hammer fees etc ! not many members are aware of these auctions,so risky to try selling via that channel. i believe a new king only made 4k at drewatts a few years ago. however, as i say, they are asking almost 7k for a rrp new kingscale loco, so these pavies remain a fair price for superior quality.
