Monobloc kit for LNER (ex-GNR) Fox 8ft Bogie.

This kit is for a  pattern of Fox Patent bogie as fitted to GNR Howlden stock built in the early 20th century  (pre-Gresley taking charge at the GNR).
When they became redundant (following scrapping of older GNR carriages by the LNER) this type was re-used under new-build Gresley passenger brake vans (both gangwayed and non-gangwayed types).

Photos and drawings show variations, particularly  in the bolster design, so I have provided files to produce both the early GNR pattern bolster and the later modified bolster. Both types survived under coaches until withdrawal in the 1950's.
The bolster component is printed from a separate file to be attached to the main side frame, so as to make it simple to build a bogie with alternative parts. The axleboxes are also separate, to permit alternative patterns to be fitted.

This bogie can be simply sprung, employing piano wire, as described for use with the previous Monobloc kits.

I shall be fitting these under my LNER  Gresley 61ft 6ins and 52ft 6ins  gangwayed PBVs.

For those wondering whether their favourite bogie will become available, I have the following already test printed and will release files over the next few weeks.

1) LNER Gresley 8ft 6ins ("Light" pattern as employed under all but the heaviest carriages, such as restaurant/kitchen and sleeping cars).
2) Great Central 10ft 6ins
3) GWR 8ft 6ins Dean
4) GWR 8ft "American"
5) GWR 9ft "American"
