LMS D1778 50ft Passenger Full Brake.

149 vans to this diagram were built between 1925 and 1928 at Wolverton and Newton Heath. They were the first 50ft vans built by the LMS and bodies were panelled timber with matchboard ends, to match the contemporary passenger stock with which they were to be employed.

There were detail variations between LOTS and the example upon which I have based this model was one of the last to be built.

They lasted in service until at least 1968, so would not look out-of-place behind a BR diesel!

The STL files will be added to the 3D_Print_4_Yourself library later this week.

The underframe for LMS 50ft vans is almost complete and will follow soon.

Last couple of days spent sorting out the changeover from Sky to Vodafone broadband and phone .... I had forgotten what a pain it is to reset all the devices on the network ... a couple are still putting up a fight!
