Hi all,

Some of you may of heard of Accucraft. They make electric and live steam models in gauges 1, G scale and 16mm as well as rolling stock as well.

They have just introduced a gauge 1 B4 (LSWR 0-4-0T) locomotive:

Now if they could produce this in Gauge 3 would anyone be interested? I have a feeling they need to produce a minimum of 50 in a batch. I say the B4 as they have the artwork for it so it could stand a chance.

I've been in contact with one of their agents for his views, and am just putting out to you all for your thoughts- good and bad!

Regards,

Simon

Simon,

Society membership is circa 200.

The forum is currently set up so that members cannot amend their messages......the reason being that an amended message is not "flagged", so that any important alteration (examples being a date or venue for meeting; a corrected dimension or other data) might not be picked up by members.

I have altered the posting for you.

Regards,
John

My fellow Members, ask not what your Society can do for you, ask what you can do for your Society.

Hello All

For an electric kit , Then YES I would be very intrested . As a ready to run a lot less so . I still have a few O gauge loco's that I made and some gauge 1 ready to paint models that I bought . I get a lot more plesure and satisfaction form the things that I have made my self than the ready to paint models that I just went out and bought . But do not let me put you off , Test the water , Give it a go .

Yes! even though it is Southern. I think they are cute, if that is the correct adjective to describe a petite 040T. :)

What do you mean 454 " even though it is Southern". Is there another quality railway company that I have not heard of then???

The thing is if they were to do one they would need enough reservations to make it worthwhile and it would either be a electric or live steam. As I say the reason it could happen is they have just done one in gauge 1 so all the drawings etc are done and it's a small 'starter engine'.

Hello All

A Southern or L.S.W.R B4 Should not be seen as a  purely main line engine , Some went into industry and at least one came north .
